Pygmalion and Galatea

Pygmalion hated women. He was a sculptor, and so he sculpted a beautiful woman out of ivory. Then things got creepy. He fell in love with his creation. He caressed the statue, gave it gifts and called it his wife. At the festival of Aphrodite, Pygmalion prayed for his wife to be real. Aphrodite saw this and granted his wish. When he got home and kissed the statue, it was warm and alive.

A character I would like to be brought to life is The Doctor from Doctor Who. Not just because I'm a huge fangirl (well, okay, that has a lot to do with it) but because he would do so much good. The Doctor goes out of his way to save people and make Earth a better place, and these days we need someone like that. The world would be a better place with the Doctor, plus I'd get to go on adventures and stuff.

This is me with John Barrowman who plays Captain Jack Harkness on Doctor Who
