Pandora's box

The story of Pandora's box will not sound very original. It is almost exactly the same as the story of Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruit. However this time the woman is made out of clay instead of a rib bone, but other than that there isnt much of a difference.  In the end the world is again left riddled with all sorts of evil things that were not there before. And, once again the driving force is temptation.
Zeus sent a box that is meant to lure his brother into releasing evil into the world but Pandora beats him to the punch and takes all the credit for herself. When she opened it the world was greeted with disease, envy, crime, and hate. Fortunately, the box was not completely empty, there was a small amount of hope that remained. This hope really didn't stand a chance against all the crap that Pandora just let loose and it still doesnt stand a chance today, but it is better than nothing and as long as its there we can never be completely crushed by all the evil that lives in our world because a little part of us will be able to see past it all and realize just how much potential our little world has beneath almighty Zeus and his kingdom up in the clouds.
