You're a Butterfly Darling

Psyche was the youngest of three sisters, which would kind of suck, you know, if she wasn't the most beautiful woman alive. He beauty rivaled the goddess Aphrodite's and people literally came from oversees with the express purpose of catching a glimpse of her. The Goddess of love soon became jealous of this young girls beauty and told her son Eros to go check it out and make her life miserable. Eros, being the dutiful son that he is, accepts the task and goes down to make Psyche fall in love with a monster. When he is about to shoot her with his arrow though, she awakens and he sees her true beauty. He pities her and recoils from her chambers having done no harm but made her love him. Her family hears from an Oracle that Psyche is destined to marry some horrible beast who gods and men alike abhor the site of, so they take her up to the top of the mountain to meet her fate. She is spirited away to a most lavish and beautiful palace where her every wish is fulfilled. Her new husband however is a man of strange mannerisms and only comes to her in the night when she cannot behold him. Nevertheless, he loves her as she has never been loved before and she is happy for a time before she starts to miss her family. Then things go south, her sisters visit, are jealous and convince her to reveal her husband while he sleeps because he might be a monster after all. He is disheartened that she listened to her sisters over him and Aphrodite is pissed off. She makes Psyche do a bunch of bullshit tasks which Eros helps her with and she gets to be a goddess
