Cupid and Psyche

The love story of Cupid and Psyche is known as one of the best love stories. In a nutshell, Psyche is a beautiful girl who is so beautiful that men come from all over to see her beauty. They say that she is she is even more beautiful than Venus, the goddess of love. Well this ticks Venus off, so she tells her son Cupid to prick Psyche with an arrow and make her fall in love with a monster. Cupid follows mother dearest's orders, but when he enters Physce's room at night, he is so stuck with her beatuy that he sticks himself instead and falls in love with her. He leaves, and life goes on for Pysche but Venus still has it out for her, so no one falls in love with her. After her other sisters are married and she still still single, her parents know somethings up. They talk to an oracle that tells them that Psyche is destined to be married to a monster and she needs to be left on the mountain top to find it. Psyche is left of the mountain top, but instead she is taken to a field of flowers where she finds a beautiful castle. Here, she is treated like a queen, and at night, a man comes in (Cupid obv.) and tells her that he is her husband. For some bizzare reason, Pysche is okay with that, but soon she comes to her senses and decides to find out what her "husband" looks like. One night when the man is asleep, she turns the light on and sees Cupid, Cupid gets burned by the oil in the lamp and flies off. Psyche goes looking for Cupid, but of course, Venus refuses to let her have him. Finally, after Venus screams at Psyche, she sets her off on almost impossible quests that she must complete in order for her to be with Cupid. Blah blah blah.... Pysche completes them, becomes immortal, and lives happily ever after with Cupid.

Bringing out my basic white girl, I will definitley say that the best love story of all time is obviously the story of Allie and Noah in the infamous book/movie The Notebook. I honestly don't think you're even a girl if you haven't seen this movie. The story is pretty much any girl's dream. From Noah and Allie's playful teen-love, to Noah's dedication and willingness to wait for Allie, to Allie's realization that Noah is the one for her, this story is an all-around, popcorn fun, tear-jerking story. (with Ryan Gosling as an added bonus ;) ) I could probably quote the entire movie if you asked, but I won't be that obnoixious. I will admit that I turn green with jealousy everytime I watch th movie.
