Biblical allusion

The Israelites were being held as slaves of the Egyptians. Moses was chosen by God to lead the Israelites away from slavery. After the Egyptians had suffered ten plagues sent from God Moses told the Israelites to follow him and they marched to freedom. This march led them straight to the shores of the Red Sea and the recently enslaved Israelites obviously had no form of passage and a pissed off Egyptian army hot in their tail. Then at that moment, Moses raised his staff and the waters of the Red Sea were parted by God. This allowed the Israelites to walk on dry land through the Red Sea in what I imagine was like walking through the tunnels at aquariums where you are surrounded by cool fish and stuff.   Once they made it to the other side Moses waved his staff again and the water went back to its normal self thus drowning the entire Egyptian army that had followed their former slaves into the sea..... I guess there's a reason the song is called "walk like an Egyptian" and not "swim like an Egyptian".
